The Northern Hills Republican Women were very busy wrapping up 2023!

Our Reagan Day Celebration in October honored Margaret A. Sager with the Nancy Reagan award for exceptional service. The event also provided all attendees with a special night of information, socializing and fun, including a VERY successful Rifle Raffle that brought in needed funds to build our treasury for 2024 activities. Keynote speaker South Dakota State Auditor, Rich Sattgast reiterated our theme

"A Time For Choosing".

Fall college send off Gift Bags were given to graduating High School seniors on their way to secondary education in support the Youth Advocacy committee to combat the liberal agenda being saturated on school campuses.

Honoring Veterans in November included recognition of the fact "Freedom Isn't Free" eloquently detailed by veteran guests & members Jane and Otto Halberg. "Each one of us must be willing to step up and do what we can to ensure that our nation remains free; we must be willing to lead by example and do what is right instead of what is easy".

December brought an end to an exciting and productive inaugural year for the Northern Hills Republican Women! We attended The annual Christmas at the Capitol event. The decorations, the smell of the trees, and the atmosphere are unlike anything else.

Our Christmas party not only raised "fun" with an energetic 'White Elephant' gift exchange, we collected 42 pounds of food for the Spearfish Food Pantry and much needed warm coats in support of the local dry cleaner's annual coat drive.

We look forward to an even more active 2024 as we faithfully represent the Republican Platform and the fundamental principals of the Constitution of South Dakota and the United States of America. "Under God the People Rule.
