Welcome to the South Central Republican Women's Page

*The South Central Republican Women encourage membership of women who live in South Central South Dakota. Our home office is located in Platte, SD and we currently have members from surrounding towns such as Winner, Colome, Wood, Corsica and Harrison. 

*Several of our initiatives this year will focus on Americanism which will include doing education at the local schools on Flag Etiquette in conjunction with local veterans and the VFW. They will focus on how to fold the American flag, Flag Etiquette and Respect for our flag.

*Another Americanism event we will host this year in the spring is an event focusing on handgun training for women.

*Our Caring for America initiative includes our second annual Memorial Day Flower Pot sales. We work with a local greenhouse and offer patriotic flower pots for sale that we will place on graves for Memorial Day and/or deliver to several of the local cemeteries for family members to personally place on loved ones grave. 

*SoCen RW sponsored and paid for advertisement on four local radio stations to encourage a “No” vote on IM 27 which would have legalized recreational marijuana in SD. The ads ran 6 times per day for two weeks before the election on each of the four stations. IM 27 was defeated.
